Customer Review: “Perfect. Click quality is some of the best I’ve felt out of 20+ mice. Cable is okay. Mouse feet are okay but very minor drag when moving right. Scroll wheel is great. Only issue is that the software doesn’t save rgb when you close it, but the openrgb software fixes that. Incredible value. Don’t even mind the weight, I’ve used lightweight mice but nothing is better than a comfortable mouse with good build quality, light mice break easy.”

Customer Review: “After using the Razer Viper V3 HyperSpeed, I can confidently say that this mouse is an almost flawless choice for FPS gaming. Coming from mechanical switches, I was curious to try optical switches, and I must admit—they feel amazing. The clicks are crisp, fast, and incredibly responsive, making every shot in FPS games feel instant and precise. The lightweight design is perfect for quick movements, yet it doesn’t feel flimsy. The ergonomics are well thought out, and despite not having a fixed grip style, I found it comfortable and easy to adapt to. Customer Review: “I mainly bought this to try out the Viper V3 lineup, and considering that I’m making a switch from the Basilisk V3 Pro, boy is this mouse LIGHT. I used to be hard-stuck on the hill that mouse weight doesn’t affect your aim, and I was proven wrong by this mouse, I instantly performed better when playing on FPS Shooters. My experience with this mouse is what drove me to go buy the Viper V3 Pro, and I can confidently say that I have no regrets. Things I liked about the Viper V3 Hyperspeed: – Despite Its Large Size, Extremely Lightweight – Comfortable Shape – Virtually No Wireless Interference – Scroll wheel feels tactile and rolls in distinct steps Cons/Gripes I Have: – Did Not Come With An Adapter (You’ll need to plug into PC directly which may affect connectivity) – Weight Is Heavier Than Viper V3 Pro even without the battery (Still Very Light, But Something to Keep in Mind) Overall a great quality mouse to enter the lightweight archetype of gaming mice without spending too much money. Its cons mostly come from its price and how it’s intended to be entry-level.”

Customer Review: “Ok, I’ve compared this mouse with its closest rival, the Logitech G502 X. If you’re trying to decide between the two, this review might be the most helpful to you.*Feel:*Both mice have a very comfortable feel. My hands are on the larger side so I’ve always preferred an ergonomic mouse instead of the “claw-grip” type mice. Both mice achieve this. The Razer is very comfortable to me. The Logitech mouse was initially uncomfortable, but it has an additional feature, which is that the clutch button can be popped off and reversed or even completely eliminated to make room for your thumb. Simply reversing that button made it very comfortable for me. I’d say these mice tie on comfort.*Glide:*Both mice glide smoothly on the trackpad. Perhaps the Logitech has a slight edge on smoothness, but really they’re both good.*Buttons:*Both mice have excellent buttons. Again, if I was to say which I prefer as far as the quality of the click, perhaps it would be the Logitech again, but it’s a negligible difference. I prefer the Logitech’s clutch button, but both are really good.*Scroll Wheel*On this point, the Razer crushes it in my opinion. The Logitech scroll wheel is extremely heavy when in ratcheting mode. It’s just so unsatisfying. Perhaps I got a bad one. But the Razer’s ratcheting mode is very smooth and yet you can definitely still feel the clicking feeling. Both mice have a really good smooth-scroll mode, but the Logitech’s is a little harder to activate and feels a little clunky in that regard.*Misc Features:*I like the customizability of RGB lighting for both mice. I’m not a huge fan of the snake logo on the Razer so I was able to turn that off. When my computer is locked it still lights up which is a bit annoying, but not a huge deal. The Razer also has a really cool effect when you wake it up. It makes a “click” as if someone is clicking the mouse. At first it freaked me out, but it’s actually quite cool.*Battery:*The Logitech wins again on battery life, by quite a bit. Since I use my computer a lot for work, I plug the Razer in every evening. It’s not really a big deal because I would probably plug it in every night anyways, and it has more than enough power for a full day. But if battery size is important to you, the Logitech definitely wins on that point.*Summary:*In the end, I returned the Logitech. The scroll wheel was driving me crazy. If it weren’t for that it would have been the winner, but I really like this Razer mouse and I’m very happy with it.”
Customer Review: “This mouse design is extremely similar to another top popular brand I’ve used before, so it was easy to get used to, but once I actually used it, I realized how much better it is. It’s very fast and responsive, charges fast, and has nice RGB lights. The grip on the sides are very tactile and the clicks are satisfying. The battery lasts a few days and I just charge it before bed so it’s perfect. My FPS aim and 180° turns have improved dramatically and so has my general PC use, I rarely “misclick” with this mouse! The weight is perfect for me, some people think it’s too heavy, but I have a heavy hand so it’s great for me. Compared to my old brick wireless mouse that used a AA battery, this is super light. My ONLY complaint as that the mouse wheel clicks a bit too easily, and when scrolling in something like File Explorer, I tend to accidentally push too hard and open a new tab. The scroll wheel otherwise is amazing, and the left/right wheel buttons are very responsive and makes swapping tabs and scrolling quickly very easy. I don’t use the auto hyper scroll feature because I’m worried about the mechanism wearing down so I stick to manual, but the manual press feels logical and not physical, meaning it seems to activate as a logical switch function and not as a depressed switch like my other old mouse (it’s not a physical button lock). I’m completely sold on the new optical switches, and I’m never going back to my previous favorite brand after this. I saw some people calling Razer a “luxury brand” or a “sponsor brand”, but that’s definitely not the impression I got with this mouse. It’s as awesome as it looks! The white color is beautiful and looks great glowing on top of my desk.”

The weight, functionality, durability, scrolling speed and ease of use are definitely some things to note. I cannot speak on how long it will last but I guess I’ll find out! Seems great and exactly what I was looking for for now! Little pricey but all Razer products are”

Customer Review: “I mostly play Overwatch as my main game, but I do a fair amount of aim trainers too (mostly aim labs), and this mouse is hands down my favorite mouse. I bought a second one for work actually (I am a programmer), so I use my mouse for work too (though I try to use the keyboard when I can). The mouse feels amazing. It is extremely light, the shape of the mouse is pleasant for the average mouse grip (mine is a hybrid palm and finger-tip grip, leaning more towards the palm and a light finger-tip touch), it keeps its charge a very long time, I never have problems keeping it charged up as a one-hour charge will last you a long time (like more than 1 week depending on your use of course, but I use more than the average gamer and I only charge about once every 1.5 to 2 weeks), the mouse also has a great sensor (up to 32k), the software for this version of the Superlight (2) offers advanced customization options like setting the lift off point (which can be high, medium, or low), the DPI can be easily set (I use 800 at 5 DPI as a DPS main (mostly Ashe and Tracer)), though you can set multiple profiles with 5 different settings each, and you can even set the x-axis and y-axis individually too. Also, the scroll wheel works perfectly. I had several Superlight Pros (the first version) where the scroll-wheel would break and I could never get it to work again, and it seemed like a software change would break it, not anything physical like slamming or dropping it, but with the Superlight version 2, I have not once had that issue and I’ve changed all the same software settings and I’ve got mad a few times and slammed it pretty hard and it hasn’t broken, so I’m deeply impressed with this mouse, thus it gets the 5 stars, and I don’t give those out unless I think it was earned, I give good products 4 stars, lol.”
Customer Review: “This is everything I’m looking for in a mouse. Very good tactical feedback. This mouse is light weight, and simple. Doesn’t have any grips on the side that will wear out from heavy use. The battery lasts a long time.”

Customer Review: “Would ideally rate it 4/5, but considering that we have few ‘dependable’ gaming mouse options and Asus has stepped in with a sturdy technical build I’m putting it at 5. Aside from the usual plus points shared with similar mice, few things I’ve noticed: Pros- Perhaps only mouse that I’ve used so far that work almost equally well on hard and cloth pads. It doesn’t drag heavy on soft pads yet still has a sense of ‘stickiness’ for flicks. It also doesn’t slip/scatter your aim on hard pads.- Bit heavy, but its a plus as the movements are smooth and actions feel more .. controlled.- 8khz polling. I turned this on only after a recent pc upgrade. On my earlier (quite old i7) machine the cpu couldn’t handle it and caused fps drops. Have 0 such drops now, make sure to have a newish multicore cpu.- Extremely well build and polished well, no rubber surface that might peel off later. Cons- Everyone talks of it, and Armory Crate is.. famous. From now on I’ll keep it on a backup laptop to customize settings which get saved to the mouse onboard memory anyway.- that teeny joystick by the thumb might be a + for some, I haven’t found ways to apply it effectively. I removed it and had the shielded cap plugged in place. But AC still installs a ‘virtual’ mouse and keyboard on my pc, least one of which is because of the joystick I suspect. These don’t cause any issues as such, but I don’t have a preference for it.- No dpi switch button near mouse wheel, but I remapped the the wheel click for it. Neutral- 32k sensor. Might be useful for multi monitor setups I guess. I tried it for a bit, applying appropriate fractions to mouse sensitivity in Overwatch, but it felt similar to lower dpi and higher sens. Not knocking on this sensor in particular, have seen similar for other high dpi mice too – SteelSeries, Logitech, etc. If it lasts long enough without performance issues, I can see this one as a favorite.”
Customer Review: “I know people are like “this mouse is sooo heavy” its just the nerds. Who wanna complain about things. This mouse is overall the best mouse i have EVER had. Totally worth the upgrade from ROG Gladius 2 ive been rocking for years lol. This has programmable buttons. Responsive clicks. You can even replace them clicky mechanical keys very easily. And the mouse has a great surface too. If you have a good quality mouse pad. I dont think you would have any issue sliding the mouse around. Oh the battery. I literally TRIED HARD TO DRAIN IT. Played COD for like 14 hours straight. And then next day did some heavy gaming. Took me 3 DAYS to totally bring it to 20% 🙏. such an amazing mouse. Love it tho. Rgbs are also amazing. Different modes love it”

Customer Review: “I’ve been using a Logitech G502 Proteus Core for a couple of years, and I’ve been wanting a wireless mouse for ages however, I had been hesitant to switch to anything else because I loved that G502 Proteus Core. Then, this mouse came out. I knew it was time to upgrade. I get a mouse that looks, feels and performs identically to my Proteus Core. No, scratch that, BETTER than my Proteus Core. Except now no more wire wrangling. No more wire catching on the edge of a table or needing to tape it down. Except the sensor is faster and better than my G502PC, and the wireless mouse is somehow LIGHTER than the wired version. What kind of space age magic is this!? When I got it at first, I was actually a little disappointed. I had been excited for this new, fancy mouse that was going to step my game up. But then I got it and it just felt exactly like my old one. It felt like nothing has changed. The wait to use it came to a somewhat anticlimactic end. But then I thought about it and realized….. IT FEELS EXACTLY LIKE MY OLD ONE. I got literally exactly what I loved before, but this time with RGB lighting and no cord! What had I expected? I got literally exactly what I wanted, and it felt like home. And the battery life, of my goodness, the battery life. I’ve been using this mouse since mid Early/mid-May. I probably use my mouse for about 1 to 4 hours a day, sometimes every other day depending on schedule. I charged this mouse to 100% on my first day of ownership. I haven’t charged it since, and my battery currently reads 64%. Incredible. Over a month of regular and consistent use, with lighting on (at about 60-75% brightness, purple) and I haven’t even gotten it to half charge. That tells me I’ve probably got another month or so of battery life to go! I have been BEYOND satisfied with this mouse. I only had one minor hiccup. Initially I put the wireless receiver in the rear of the tower, straight into the motherboard’s primary USB 3 port. Unfortunately, I noticed that I would get occasional stuttering and hitching with the mouse cursor. After a bit I noticed that it only happened when my cell phone was on my computer desk in front of my mousepad. I relocated the receiver to the USB3 slot on my Corsair K60 keyboard, problem solved. I haven’t had one stutter or hitch since. I think my cell phone’s WiFi signal was causing some form of interference. I could reproduce the problem with my cell phone location every time, so I’m confident in what the issue was. BEYOND satisfied with this product. If you have ever used any of the Logitech G502 line – or mice of a similar shape – this product is an absolute NO BRAINER purchase.”
Customer Review: “This mouse feels like straight-up cheating — the sensor accuracy is ridiculous. The wireless connection is rock solid and smoother than plenty of wired mice. The adjustable weights make it easy to tune the perfect balance for your playstyle. Every button has a clean, satisfying click without feeling cramped. If you want elite performance without overcomplicating things, this mouse delivers hard.”
Complete Buying Guide for Best Gaming Mouse
Essential Factors We Consider
When searching for the best gaming mouse, several factors play a crucial role in determining its suitability for your playstyle and preferences. First, consider the sensor performance. A high DPI (Dots Per Inch) isn’t the only metric; look for high IPS (Inches Per Second) and low lift-off distance for accurate tracking, especially in fast-paced games. Next, wired vs. wireless connectivity is a big decision. Wireless technology has advanced significantly, with options like Razer HyperSpeed or Logitech Lightspeed offering near-wired latency, but wired mice still appeal to some for ultimate reliability and no battery concerns. The weight and ergonomics are also critical; some prefer ultra-light mice for quick flicks, while others need a heavier, more ergonomic design with a thumb rest for comfort. Finally, the number of programmable buttons varies greatly; FPS players might need just a few, while MMO enthusiasts benefit from many.
Budget Planning
Your budget will naturally influence your choices, but rest assured, there’s a fantastic gaming mouse out there for every price point. Entry-level models often provide solid performance with essential features, making them great for casual gamers or those just starting. Mid-range options introduce more advanced sensors, better build quality, and some wireless capabilities. If you’re looking to splurge, premium gaming mice offer the latest in wireless technology, ultra-light designs, top-tier sensors, and extensive customization options, often designed with esports professionals in mind. Remember, the most expensive isn’t always the “best” for your specific needs, so balance features with what you’re willing to invest.
Final Thoughts
Ultimately, the “best” gaming mouse is a deeply personal choice. What feels comfortable and performs well for one person might not for another. We’ve highlighted some of the top contenders across different categories, considering factors like sensor accuracy, ergonomic design, wireless performance, and customization. Take the time to consider your grip style, preferred game genres, and budget. Reading customer reviews and, if possible, trying out mice in person can also provide valuable insights. By focusing on these key aspects, you’re sure to find a gaming mouse that elevates your experience and helps you achieve your full potential in every game.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What’s the difference between DPI and IPS in a gaming mouse?
A: DPI (Dots Per Inch) refers to how sensitive the mouse sensor is – a higher DPI means the cursor moves further on screen for the same physical movement of the mouse. IPS (Inches Per Second) measures the maximum speed at which the sensor can accurately track movement. High IPS is crucial for fast-twitch gamers who make quick, sweeping motions, ensuring the mouse doesn’t “spin out” or lose tracking during intense moments.
Q: Is a wireless gaming mouse as good as a wired one for competitive play?
A: Modern wireless gaming mice, especially those from top brands like Razer (HyperSpeed) and Logitech (Lightspeed), offer extremely low latency that is virtually indistinguishable from wired connections. For most competitive players, the freedom of movement provided by wireless outweighs any minimal perceived latency difference. However, wired mice still offer the advantage of never needing to worry about battery life or wireless interference.
Q: How important is ergonomics for a gaming mouse?
A: Ergonomics is highly important, especially for long gaming sessions. A comfortable mouse helps prevent fatigue and repetitive strain injuries. Factors like your grip style (palm, claw, fingertip), hand size, and preferred mouse weight should all influence your ergonomic choice. Some mice offer dedicated thumb rests, while others have symmetrical designs that suit a wider range of users.
Q: What are programmable buttons used for on a gaming mouse?
A: Programmable buttons allow you to assign custom functions, macros, or keybinds directly to your mouse buttons. This is particularly useful in games like MMOs, MOBAs, or strategy games where you need quick access to many abilities or commands. For FPS games, extra buttons can be used for melee attacks, grenade throws, or weapon switching, improving reaction time and efficiency.
Q: How often do I need to charge a wireless gaming mouse?
A: Battery life for wireless gaming mice varies significantly based on the model, usage, and whether RGB lighting is enabled. Many modern mice offer anywhere from 50 to over 200 hours of battery life on a single charge. Some even feature wireless charging compatibility (like Logitech’s PowerPlay) or use standard AA/AAA batteries, eliminating the need for frequent recharges.
